Blessing Muzarabani Withdraws from PSL 2026 After Signing IPL Deal with KKR

📅 13 Mar 2026
Zimbabwe fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani has officially withdrawn from the upcoming season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) after securing a contract in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with Kolkata Knight Riders.

The tall pacer was initially expected to feature in PSL 2026, but scheduling conflicts and his new IPL commitment forced him to pull out of the tournament. Muzarabani’s signing by Kolkata Knight Riders came as part of the franchise’s plan to strengthen their pace bowling options for the upcoming IPL season.

PSL franchises will now look for a replacement ahead of the tournament, as Muzarabani was considered an important overseas bowling option due to his pace, bounce, and T20 experience. His absence is a setback for the PSL side that had picked him in the draft.

The Zimbabwe international has been in impressive form across various T20 leagues and international matches, which helped him earn attention from IPL franchises. His ability to generate extra bounce and bowl effectively in powerplay and death overs makes him a valuable asset in the shortest format.

While PSL will miss the presence of the Zimbabwean pacer this season, Muzarabani now shifts his focus to making an impact for Kolkata Knight Riders in one of the world’s biggest T20 tournaments.
